The team mentored by Needronix wins Slovakia's first CanSat competition

Adlerka Space Program of SPŠE Karola Adlera with Needronix founder and CTO Robert Lászlo

We are proud to have pioneered the introduction of the CanSat competition in Slovakia! We leveraged our expertise and experience to mentor participants at the schools SPSE Zochova and SPŠE Karola Adlera in Bratislava, contributing to the acceleration of the space industry in Slovakia. It was a fantastic opportunity to support emerging talents and drive innovation in aerospace.

Huge congratulations to the Adlerka Space Program of SPŠE Karola Adlera, mentored by our founder and CTO Robert Laszlo, for winning the historically first CanSat competition in Slovakia. Their dedication and teamwork were truly remarkable.

We would like to thank the Slovak Space Office for organizing this incredible opportunity to promote education in the field of space science.

At Needronix, we are committed to supporting education in Slovakia and attracting talents into the space industry, especially through activities like CanSat.

The CanSats in Europe initiative, led by the European Space Agency (ESA), works in collaboration with local organizations to enhance support for CanSat activities across the continent. A CanSat is a simulation of a real satellite designed to fit within the dimensions of a soft drink can. The challenge for students is to incorporate all essential satellite subsystems—such as power, sensors, and communication—into this compact space. Once assembled, the CanSat is launched to an altitude of a few hundred meters, either by rocket, dropped from a balloon or in Slovakia’s case dropped from a drone (UAV). The mission then begins: to conduct a scientific experiment and ensure a safe landing.
