Sun sensor NXSS3V10 Eagle operates independently of the onboard computer. All calculations are performed by the built-in microcontroller, giving you calibrated information about the position angles in two axes. You can then define parameters and corrections for measuring and processing data over time.
Save space inside your nanosatellite
Eagle can fit between the solar panels. By mounting these sensors in underutilized areas such as between the solar panels, you not only enhance the efficiency of your satellite but also save valuable space for additional payloads.
Tested and calibrated in our state-of-the-art test facility
Each Eagle undergoes rigorous calibration and exceptionally precise characterization within our proprietary test facility, co-developed with the
European Space Agency to deliver reliable sun
vector data.

Featured Mission

GRBAlpha
Launch date
22 March 2021
Re-entry date
9 June 2025
GRBAlpha was a 1U cubesat equipped with state-of-the-art instruments to capture and analyze gamma ray bursts, providing valuable insights into their origins and behavior. GRBAlpha was the first cubesat to detect a gamma ray burst and its data was used by NASA. NXSS3 Eagle sun sensors and NXTRX4 Cormorant transceiver were vital components of this nanosatellite.
